BIRMINGHAM management members David Mason and Lee Kilby will be in the hot-seat at a special event next month.

The pair will appear at Aston Manor Cricket Club on Thursday, March 8 (7pm) as the build-up to the forthcoming season continues.

Entry will be charged at £2 per person with monies raised going towards Birmingham Speedway Supporters’ Club.

Co-promoter David Mason said: “Myself and Lee are really looking forward to the event and it’s good to get our working relationship with the Supporters’ Club up and running.

“We’ve been looking to do something like this for a few months now in all honesty but we’ve had so much going on behind the scenes to ensure we’re ready for our first season in charge, we simply haven’t had the time.

“But with Press and Practice on March 21 and our first meeting on March 28 fast approaching, it will be good to be a part of an event like this with our loyal supporters.

“At the end of the day, a club is nothing without its fans and I know the Brummies’ fanbase are very passionate about their speedway.

“I’ll be on hand to try and provide as much of an insight about what a hectic winter it’s been as well as letting them in on a few things we’ve got planned for the year ahead.

“Lee will be there to talk Commercial matters and what he hopes to bring to the club in his role and team manager Laurence Rogers and one of the riders are likely to be in attendance too.

“We’ll be happy to answer any questions that supporters have and hopefully the event is well attended and it proves to be a successful night for the Supporters’ Club.”

Supporters’ Club renewals and memberships will be available on the night and a raffle will also take place.
